Brookdale Dr. Phillips provides highly individualized assisted living services in a relaxed, resort-style setting near downtown Orlando. Staff members assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, bathing, dining, mobility and medication management. Housekeeping and laundry services are also performed by the staff, and three chef-prepared meals are served to residents each day. The on-site wellness center, arts and crafts studio, game room, fireside living room and outdoor walking paths give seniors an abundance of social, recreational and fitness options, while the concierge service ensures that residents never miss scheduled appointments. Guest suites are available for visiting friends and family members, and pets are welcome to stay in resident suites and studio apartments.

FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Average age 85-90 year old predominantly women. Some of the favorite things are sitting outside on the front porch and enjoy the weather and visiting. Church services and going on weekly Publix outings and lunch outing. Dine in Movie event and pet therapy. Bingo is a big favorite!
Enriching programs include Flex Your Brain and trivia, the residents love cognitive activities. Bingo because they are able to socialize, and they help each other if someone does not mark their board, giving them a sense of purpose.
B-Fit exercise class daily along with Silver Sneakers monthly.
Twice weekly church services provide along with a Visit with Paul.
There is a plaza half a mile down the road with a CVS, restaurants, nail salon, a hair salon, a place to get a massage, and a grocery store.
We have a community bus. We provide doctor runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Publix grocery runs on Mondays.
Our dining services director/chef is involved with the residents; she will even sit and do an activity with them when she is not cooking in the kitchen. She loves getting to know the residents and making them laugh. She does weekly menu chat to give the resident’s opportunity to have input into daily menus. She had lots of comfort food and a variety of choices. It is important that the menu represents residents cultural desires as well as nutritional needs.
We have hand rails all along the hallways for residents to be able to hold onto if needed. Also, we have call pendants for them to wear around their neck and need something; all the resident has to do is to press the button on the pendant and a care staff member will come to them. All of our public bathrooms are large enough for wheelchairs and walkers to go through if a resident was in an activity and did not want to walk to their room to use the rest room and are equipped with emergency call pull cords. Our building has one main entrance and all exits are on alarm system. The front door locks at night at 10 pm and auto unlocks the next morning at 6 am.
Our executive director sends out a monthly newsletter to families letting them know about what is going on in our community. We also invite and encourage families to come to the family nights.
In addition to a nurse on duty throughout the day and evening we have caregivers AL 1-22 during day and 1-33 in evening
We do accept cats and dogs, we have residents who have their pets with them. There is a walking path all around the building to go for a walk with the dog. We have plenty of grassy areas as well for the dog to explore.
All staff having ongoing training as well as refresher training in all aspects. Examples would be Alzheimer’s, fall prevention. Proper transfer, elopement drills, fire safety, etc.
Stairwell exit doors are on alarm system. The front door is on auto lock starting at 10 pm until 6 am. We do room checks along with a sign in and out protocol for residents and families. Our outdoor court yard is fenced in and on a code lock.
