FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Our full Life Enrichment program is as individualized to meet our residents needs. Upon admission, each resident may expect a thorough visit with our preferred therapy provider so we have a baseline of their skills and abilities. From there the individualized program is created. Our Life Enrichment Coordinator is able to create a purposeful program that is engaging and meaningful for. Some of our programs may include: cooking, baking, crafts, exercise, travelogues, inter-generational programming, gardening, pet interaction, and much more.
Located in the Pine Valley neighborhood, we are nestled into an area of Fort Wayne with many options. Just down the road are a variety of eateries, grocery stores, pharmacies, and shopping. Our community is safely connected to sidewalks for plenty of exercise or you may relax on the terrace and watch the kids play across the street at the daycare.

BrightStar Senior LIving is proud to say, ALL of our meals served are 90% made from scratch. Our Chef makes breakfast to order, every day. The lunch and dinner menu are nutrient rich to enhance the overall health of our residents. The menu is fluid based on taste and preferences of each resident. BrightStar Senior Living also offers home-made power shakes. Our nutrition at risk meeting includes the Chef, Director of Health and Wellness, and our Executive Director. This meeting follows each resident closely to identify any nutrition needs, changes, and call to action. We have had amazing results with this program, whether residents need to gain weight, lose weight, or require added protein to help heal.
For the security of our residents and staff, our doors are secure 24 hours a day. All guests and residents entering or exiting the community are accompanied by a staff member.
BrightStar Senior Living offers 24/7/30 touchpoints followed by quarterly care connection meetings. We update families after the first 24 hours/7days/30days of the residents first moving in with us. There after, we have quarterly care connection meetings with the families and residents that involve our entire interdisciplinary team.
Our staff ratios are far above industry standards at one to eight and one to 15 at night. These ratios do not include our management team.
We do not accept dogs or cats as permanent tenants, however, they are more than welcome to visit our residents as long as the up-to-date shot record for the dog or cat is on file.
BrightStar Senior Living requires all of our team members to complete an extensive eight hour training program and an additional 12 hours annually of training specified to the senior population.
