Irving Point is an assisted living community promoting dignity and independence. Offering handicapped accessibility, the apartments have on-site support services for residents, with individualized service plans that identify the needs and services to be rendered. Caregivers assist residents with daily living tasks, including housekeeping, bathing, grooming, dressing, and managing medications. Residents receive lunch and dinner, and caregivers assist breakfast preparations as needed. A 24-hour emergency response system, including a pendant worn by each resident, allows staff to provide assistance whenever needed. Its activity program includes social and recreational programming that includes cooking groups, religious services and crafts. For those who wish to keep fit, there are exercise classes and a walking club, the Silver Streakers. Along with the communal dining area, there is also a computer lab, library, craft room, beauty salon, media room and laundry on each floor.
