The community's activity coordinators ensure that seniors get the most out of life by providing an array of planned activities and events, including daily exercises, gardening, pet therapy, crafts and many musical events and entertainment. Massages, aromatherapy and cooking classes are also very popular offerings. Meals are based on a healthy, delicious Mediterranean diet and often include residents' favorite requests, taking dietary needs into consideration.

FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
The average age is 83 and we have a large group who are active. Our activity calendar is full and focuses on musical events and entertainment, movement, social activities and arts & crafts.
We offer massage, pet and aromatherapy at no extra cost. We have weekly musical entertainment and activities that support movement (chair yoga, walking club). Our arts & crafts are popular as is our food/cooking class.
We are less than a block from a neighborhood park and about 3 miles to Petroglyphs National Monument. We are from 3 to 4 miles of shops like Walgreens, Neighborhood Walmart and restaurants. We are situated in a quiet residential neighborhood on Albuquerque's west side. Five miles from our location is the Coors Corridor with large shops and restaurants. We are perfectly situated about 8 miles between Rust Presbyterian and Pres downtown.
Our staff can assist residents with coordinating transportation as well as accompany them to important appointments. We periodically take a small group of residents to light outings like lunch and music series or a visit to a museum.
Our menu is designed by a dietician and based on the healthy yet tasty Mediterranean diet. We do make fun exceptions to allow residents to choose a favorite, a local specialty and we are able to address allergies, medical or health-oriented needs. We want to support our residents health and diet is a very important factors. Our chef/cooks are friendly and can be seen engaging the residents and finding out about their personal preferences.
At Ravenna, we are a secure facility with a Wanderguard system for those with mild to moderate memory challenges. The front desk is supervised by our reception staff and visitors need to press a secure button to get out. Our hallways have motion activated cameras for additional security and safety feature.
We send out a monthly newsletter with news updates and photos related to residents' activities and programs. Our staff is very friendly and accessible and family members can approach us for concerns and questions.
Day time staff-to-resident ratio is 1:7. Night staff ratio is 1:13.
Pets are accepted on a case by case basis. We have a main courtyard which is available and easily accessible. There are 3 additional patio gardens with staff access for safety.
Ravenna's staff have ongoing training each week during crossover meetings. Regularly scheduled monthly meetings provide additional staff training with healthcare professionals. A library of DVDs and online courses are available and scheduled as needed.
Ravenna does not accept residents who may actively exit seeking. For residents with dementia that occasionally wander, we have a Wanderguard with bracelet system. Staff training and education, as well as reception staff and safety procedures, are all in place for residents' safety.
