FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
The residents are seniors over the age of 65. With assistance from our social director, our residents enjoy playing bingo, arts and crafts, puzzles, musical performances and visiting with family.
We have a social director who plans and engages in daily activities for residents and arranges celebrations for birthdays and holidays.
Our community is located in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Residents can arrange for their own transportation. However, with a house doctor, mobile dentist, visiting podiatrist, and hairstylist who all come to the community, there is little need for residents to leave.
Our manager plans tailored meals to the residents' tastes each month. All meals are cooked from scratch inside the home by our chef caregivers.
For those who are prone to falling, we have chair and bed alarms to alert team members so assistance can be provided. There are also door chimes to alert if someone is entering or leaving the community.
The manager will call, text or email loved ones of any updates in a resident's condition, as warranted.
During the day, we strive to keep a 4-to-1 ratio and have four caregivers on staff for 16 residents. At night from 10p-6a, we have two caregivers to provide care while residents are sleeping.
A small house dog may be acceptable. We have a fenced in backyard to contain pets.
All team members receive 20 hours of orientation and training upon hire and then 6 hours of training annually.
For those who have a tendency to wander, we have our Silver Leaf memory care community which provides locked doors with keypad entry.
