Mennowood Retirement Community

Located on a semi-rural plot of land that was once a dairy farm, Mennowood Retirement Community provides seniors in the Newport News area with assisted living and memory care options in a nurturing, homelike setting. Seniors live in cozy, tastefully designed apartments with walk-in showers and convenient kitchenettes; some ground-floor units also have a screened-in porch. Cleaning and laundry services are provided by a caring support team, and seniors receive aid with personal care as needed. This leaves plenty of time for residents to participate in social and educational activities. Mennowood Town Center is the community's hub, where seniors can shop at the country store, surf the internet in the computer center or find a new look at the barber/beauty shop. Each month, the community also holds a special event on-campus to allow seniors to connect with their families.
