What You Should Know About Our Lady of the Valley
Our Lady of the Valley Retirement Community is a nonprofit senior living community that has been helping seniors since 1989. It is within walking distance from downtown Roanoke, which includes restaurants, cafes and gift shops as well as The Taubman Museum of Art and the historic Roanoke Market. Our Lady of the Valley is sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond and features nondenominational worship services, Bible studies, prayer groups and a Pastoral Counselor to provide spiritual enrichment to its residents. Senior apartments have recently been remodeled with kitchen nooks in addition to stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Chef-prepared meals are served in the shared dining room and room service is also available. Activities include singing in the choir, art, movies, planned excursions and salsa dancing.
