Each resident wears a personal safety pendant to ensure safety around the clock. Meals are homemade and served hot in the dining room, which features beautiful views of the Virginia countryside. Events and activities include daily walking and exercise groups, as well as craft gatherings such as painting and knitting programs. Community reading helps keep minds sharp, while baking classes and ice cream socials blend fun with food.

FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Our Residents range in age from 53 to 100. Our Residents love to engage in both internal and external events organized by our Activities Director, Cynthia Massey. We do games, puzzles, crafts, art and special events such as karaoke within our community. Our Residents also like to travel in our own handicapped accessible bus to outdoor events, restaurants, museums and fairs. We take what our Residents tell us they want to do and we make their wishes come true.
Art, crafts, yoga, choir, book club, outdoor trips, parachute ball, charades, scrabble, singing.
Beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from anywhere you stand. Landscaped yard, picnic areas and major outdoor events held outside for our Residents' enjoyment.
Our bus which accommodates up to 12 residents, wheelchair accessible.
Our Director of Food Services, Zac! is well known by both Residents and resident family members alike. We follow dietary guidelines for each individual Resident's food choices and dietary recommendations. Zac is creative with his food and makes every meal enticing and enjoyable!
Doors lock at 8pm every night. Lighted walkways, exterior lights.
Our families are always informed as to the status of their loved ones' being. We stay in constant communication via e-mail, phone, in person meetings, care plan initiatives and the sharing of events either in person or on our Facebook site. We do facetime, skype, zoom and video texts to keep loved ones in touch and close at heart.
We are fully staffed for all shifts.
Pets are considered on a case by case basis. Pets are confined to Residents' suites but we do encourage pet owners to take their dogs out for walks consistently and they have a beautifully maintained lawn with vista views to enjoy those doggie walks with!

At this point, we do not have any wanderers but we are looking at expanding in the near future.
